Detroit Lions Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Post Game Recap

Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Post-Game Recap

Lions Fall to Buccaneers, 24-17

The Detroit Lions fought hard but ultimately fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-17, at Ford Field on Sunday.

The Lions' offense struggled to get going, managing just 243 yards of total offense. Quarterback Jared Goff was 24-of-43 for 209 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw two interceptions.

The Buccaneers' offense was more productive, totaling 366 yards of offense. Quarterback Tom Brady was 22-of-34 for 243 yards and two touchdowns.

Lions' Defense Holds Tough

Despite the offensive struggles, the Lions' defense played well, holding the Buccaneers to just 24 points.

The Lions forced two turnovers, including an interception by cornerback Amani Oruwariye and a fumble recovery by defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

The Lions also sacked Brady three times, including twice by Hutchinson.

Buccaneers' Offense Too Much for Lions

The Buccaneers' offense was too much for the Lions' defense in the end.

Brady led the Buccaneers on a 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter to give the Buccaneers a 24-10 lead.

The Lions responded with a touchdown drive of their own, but it was too little, too late.

Lions Look to Rebound Next Week

The Lions will look to rebound next week when they travel to face the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers are 0-2 on the season, so the Lions will have a good chance to get their first win of the season.

The Lions will need to play better on offense and avoid turnovers if they want to beat the Panthers.
