Chelsea's Unbeaten Streak Ends in 2-2 Draw Against Everton

Blues Conceded Twice for the First Time This Season

Palmer's Hat-Trick Goes in Vain

Chelsea's impressive unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end on Monday night after a 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park. The Blues, who had won their previous seven league games, were twice pegged back by the Toffees, with Cole Palmer's hat-trick ultimately going in vain.

Chelsea made a sluggish start to the match and Everton missed a couple of decent opportunities in the first ten minutes, including a point-blank effort from Beto. However, the Blues gradually grew into the game and took the lead in the 25th minute when Palmer converted a penalty after he was fouled by Jarrad Branthwaite.

Palmer doubled Chelsea's lead just five minutes later with a stunning strike from outside the box. The England international completed his hat-trick in the 35th minute with a tap-in at the back post.

Everton pulled a goal back just before half-time when Demarai Gray fired home a low drive from the edge of the box. The Toffees then equalized in the 65th minute through Neal Maupay, who headed in from close range after a cross from Vitalii Mykolenko.

Chelsea pushed for a winner in the closing stages but were unable to find a way past Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal. The result leaves Chelsea in third place in the Premier League, while Everton move up to 12th.
